Yikes

Sorry it has been a little while but we have been going full steam night and day. Now that the roof is not in danger of coming down on our heads all of the contractors have been working in pairs all day every day.... and it shows.

Here is Devin working on the back bar ( the frame for the front is in the foreground). He was kind of losing his cool trying to get it up but it looks great now. Framing inspection is on Friday!!!

Here are the lights that the electric guys have hung up already.

This is the wonderful and perfect patch job I did on the old doorway that linked it to the bar ( I am thinking that it will match a little better when it is dry).

Here is one of the plumbers diving out of the frame. Behind him on the right is the office, in the extreme back are the restrooms and the left is the waitstation and kitchen walls.

Thats all for now... see you when the drywall starts going up (Sat?)

The Waiting Area Chairs

We found some cool old stadium style seats in the place when we rented it so we thought it would be reall cool if we coulf re-finish them and use them as seats for the waiting area, well it took 4 days to finsh.....

This is how we found them.

Hours and hours of sanding.... Those dang planks are oak!

Some sanded planks.
I then did a hammer coat spray on all of the iron work.

The finished product. I did a lite stain on the wood as well as a poly coat. I also re-numbered them as well so they match.

We Are Rolling Now

There are a bunch of things going on now. The electrical people are electrifying, the welders are welding, and the structural guys are structuring.

Here are the guys hauling the beams up to the roof... man that looks heavy.

Here is Devin putting together one of the walls in the back( Yes that is my cool new drill. He has only dropped it from 10 feet onto the cement floor twice so far. )

Here are some of the walls that we are starting to build.

One of the electical guys cutting some of the conduit to lay the lines in.

This is one of the guys bolting the posts into the floor.

Gonna be a while till there is news.....
